Founder + Senior Clinician
Sees Adults, Couples, & Families
Hi, I’m Terah and I am so thrilled that you are here. I am the Founder + Senior Clinician at Hopeology Wellness. After working at another counseling practice in metro Atlanta for 7 years, I decided to start my own practice. I believe with all of my heart that we were meant for Eden, a place of peace and flourishing. But our choices, and the choices of others, have robbed us of these things.
Just because we’re no longer in Eden doesn’t mean we can’t experience peace and flourishing in the here and now. At Hopeology Wellness, we desire for each of our clients to experience wholeness and wellness.

Areas of Focus
As a therapist for over 13 years, I have seen countless clients who have faced (and overcome) numerous challenges and difficulties. And while I am equipped to care for most any potential client, my skillset and trainings in trauma, immuno-focused therapy, and couples therapy have helped me narrow my focus.
Through my trainings in trauma therapy, I provide compassionate, specialized care for clients navigating some of life’s most challenging experiences. My work focuses on helping individuals heal from trauma and complex PTSD, offering a safe space to process the lasting impact of difficult and overwhelming events. I also support those facing complex or traumatic grief, including the layers of loss that feel impossible to carry alone.
With experience in medical and immunological trauma, I understand the unique emotional toll of health challenges and provide tools for resilience and recovery. I am also equipped to utilize EMDR to help build new memory networks specific to the immune system.
Clients struggling with anxiety and depression find support in learning to manage symptoms while restoring a sense of balance and hope.
For those who have endured spiritual abuse, I offer a nonjudgmental environment to reclaim trust, identity, and meaning.
Additionally, I work with complex relational issues, helping clients untangle painful dynamics and build healthier, more authentic connections. Through this holistic and trauma-informed approach, clients are empowered to move toward healing, growth, and lasting change.
Therapeutic Methods
As part of this integrative approach, I often utilize Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a highly effective, evidence-based method that helps clients process traumatic memories and move toward lasting relief and growth.
I view everything through a trauma and attachment lens and often utilize attachment-based interventions with my clients as well. Additional modes of therapy I pull from include Emotionally Focused Therapy and Internal Family Systems.
I grew up in South Carolina and lived in Lousiana for graduate school. While in New Orleans, I met and married my husband, Jason. We are a foster and adoptive family and have ten children. When I’m not working, I love spending time with my family, running, reading, Mexican food, soccer, and Clemson football.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Studies from North Greenville University and a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. In addition to being a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), I am also a CPCS in Georgia, which means I am certified to provide supervision for Associate Professional Counselors, Master’s Level Clinicians, and Graduate Student Interns.
