Nothing changes if nothing changes. . . Are you ready?
A sword is not born strong; it is shaped by fire, hammered by force, and strengthened by stillness. For both the child and the caregivers, the teenage years can feel like walking straight into that forge: intense, exhausting, and generally overwhelming.
In my teenage years, I often felt lost throughout transitions, living in fear of the future, and unsure of what the "right" decision was for me. And yet, these feelings, and more, are natural and necessary for growth to occur.

Areas of Focus
I've been working with teenagers since 2019, and I am passionate about supporting them through this crucial stage of development. Working as a high school counselor, I have a front-row seat to the trials, challenges, and trends occurring in the lives of teens and I use that knowledge to inform my private practice. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I use solution-focused approaches to help clients find practical and effective ways to create sustainable changes in their lives. I am in constant awe of the resiliency of teens and adolescents. It is a pleasure to walk alongside them (and their caregivers) as they explore new methods of coping, communicating, and ultimately, shaping themselves into the person they are destined to become
Therapeutic Methods
Trained in evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Narrative Therapy (NT), my practice style helps clients explore their identity from multiple perspectives, as well as examine environments, relationships, and behavioral patterns to identify opportunities for change. I believe life is more enjoyable when we think creatively; therefore, I often use art-based practices, lots of analogies, and games in my work with clients. I find these approaches help therapy not feel so “heavy” for teens, too!
About Me
I appreciate being able to see the whole person that my client is, and so I do my best to model that by sharing myself with them, too. In my personal life I enjoy video games, RPG, painting, embroidery, thrifting, and spending lots of time with my two dogs.
